The Charity Program is implemented as a part of activities of the Charity Foundation “Center for Medical Innovations” aimed at organization and provision of specialized diagnostic assistance to the population. The Charity Program is based on the principles of open transparent reporting, efficient use of charitable contributions (donations), targeted orientation and targeted use of funds.
The objective of the Charity Program is to provide high-quality diagnostic services through implementation and application of innovative technologies and to ensure high proficiency level of specialists working at NOVO Medical Center (hereinafter – the Center), as well as to make a considerable contribution into evolution of the healthy society and to foster development of the health protection system in Ukraine.

Main fields of Center’s activity under this Charity Program:
1). Provision of free medical diagnostic assistance to critically ill and emergency patients undergoing treatment at Lviv Municipal Children’s Clinical Hospital, Lviv Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital “OHMATDYT”, and Western Ukrainian Specialized Children’s Medical Center.
2). Provision of free medical diagnostic assistance to underage children of deceased participants of mass civic protest campaigns that started in Ukraine on November 21, 2013 and deceased ATO participants.
3). Promotion of the advanced training of medical specialists and implementation of new methods of diagnostics.
4). Cooperation with legal entities and individuals for the purpose of reaching the goals set by the constituent documents of the Charity Foundation “Center for Medical Innovations” and objectives of the charity activity of NOVO Medical Center.
NOVO Medical Center is a structural division of the Charity Foundation “Center for Medical Innovations” and is the first diagnostic center in Ukraine established by a nonprofit legal entity under private law. The Center operates on the premises of Lviv Municipal Children’s Clinical Hospital on the basis of public private partnership. NOVO Medical Center was established and operates at the cost of charitable contributions of legal entities and individual persons and acts as a nonprofit-making organization.
NOVO Medical Center is fitted with the advanced safe equipment of the leading world manufacturers. In particular, the Center disposes of the following equipment:
MRI scanner Optima MR450w GE Healthcare;
CT scanner Toshiba Aquilion Prime;
ultrasound equipment: ultrasound scanners Accuvix V20 Prestige and MySono U5 Samsung.
1. GENERAL PROVISIONS
1.1. The Charity Foundation “Center for Medical Innovations” (hereinafter - the Foundation) implements the charity program “Innovative Diagnostics in NOVO Medical Center” (hereinafter - the Charity Program) for the purpose of reaching the targets set by the constituent documents of the Foundation.
1.2. The Foundation and NOVO Medical Center (hereinafter - the Center), as its structural division, carry out their activity on a nonprofit-making basis.
1.3. The Program is based on the principles of open transparent reporting, efficient use of charitable contributions (donations), targeted orientation and targeted use of funds.
1.4. Within the limits of their competence, the Foundation and the Center cooperate with state and local authorities, public, religious and charity organizations (including international ones), as well as other legal and natural persons to the extent envisaged by the law for the purpose of reaching the targets set by the constituent documents of the Foundation and implementation of this Charity Program.
2. THE OBJECTIVE OF THE CHARITY PROGRAM
2.1. The main objective of this Charity Program is to organize and provide free specialized diagnostic assistance within the main areas of activity of NOVO Medical Center (hereinafter - the Center) outlined in this Charity Program.
2.2. Based on the objective of the Charity Program, the activity of the Center is mainly focused on the following areas:
2.2.1. Provision of free medical diagnostic assistance to critically ill and emergency patients undergoing treatment at Lviv Municipal Children’s Clinical Hospital.
2.2.2. Provision of free medical diagnostic assistance to underage children of deceased participants of mass civic protest campaigns that started in Ukraine on November 21, 2013 and deceased ATO participants.
2.2.3. Promotion of the advanced training of medical specialists and implementation of new methods of diagnostics.
2.2.4. Cooperation with legal entities and individuals for the purpose of reaching the goals set by the constituent documents of the Charity Foundation “Center for Medical Innovations” and objectives of the charity activity of NOVO Medical Center.
3. TASKS OF THE CENTER
3.1. In line with the terms and provisions of the Charity Program, the Center organizes and provides free specialized diagnostic assistance to the following categories of the population:
3.1.1. critically ill and emergency patients undergoing treatment at Lviv Municipal Children’s Clinical Hospital.
3.1.2. underage children of deceased participants of mass civic protest campaigns that started in Ukraine on November 21, 2013 and deceased ATO participants.
3.2. In the process of implementation of the Charity Program, the Center cooperates with Lviv Municipal Children’s Clinical Hospital (hereinafter - the Hospital).
3.3. The Center also cooperates with individual benefactors, enterprises, institutions, charity organizations, state and local authorities that are able to foster implementation of the Charity Program and reaching of targets set by the set by the constituent documents of the Foundation.
3.4. The Center raises charitable contributions for implementation of the Charity Program in accordance with the applicable law of Ukraine. Any natural person who has made a charitable contribution, if necessary, has the right to an examination as part of an assessment of his health, followed by a medical opinion.
3.5. The Center promotes the advanced training of medical specialists through provision of its facilities and resources for trainings carried out by corresponding qualified specialists and training centers.
4. CHARITY ACTIVITY OF THE CENTER AND PROCEDURE OF PROVISION OF DIAGNOSTIC ASSISTANCE
4.1. The Center provides diagnostic assistance to critically ill and emergency patients undergoing treatment at Lviv Municipal Children’s Clinical Hospital exclusively upon the doctor’s referral certified by the signature and seal of the chief medical officer of the Hospital.
4.2. The Center provides free diagnostic assistance to underage children of deceased participants of mass civic protest campaigns that started in Ukraine on November 21, 2013 and deceased ATO participants based on the medical referral and supporting documentation (certificate issued by agencies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, war veteran identification card, etc).
4.3. Charity diagnostic assistance is provided by order of previous appointments.
4.4. In case of necessity to provide urgent diagnostic assistance to critically ill and emergency patients, such patients can be referred to the diagnostic examination on a priority basis.
4.5. The Center provides free diagnostic assistance under the Charity Program within the limits of available resources.
4.6. According to the applicable legislation of Ukraine and the constituent documents, the Foundation can introduce changes and amendments to this Charity Program in order to expand or narrow its objective, as well as to itemize the tasks of the Center based on the available resources and organizational capabilities of the Foundation.
5. SOURCES OF ASSETS (INCOME)
5.1. Sources of the funds and property of the Charitable Program:
5.1.1. charitable contributions of physical and legal persons, including foreign ones;
5.1.2. grants provided by international and other organizations;
5.1.3. other sources not prohibited by the applicable legislation of Ukraine.
5.2. Funds and property received for realization of the Charity Program are used exclusively for implementation of the Charity Program.
6. FINAL PROVISIONS
6.1. The Charity Program starts at the moment of its approval by the Supervisory Board of the Charity Foundation “Center for Medical Innovations”.
6.2. All changes and amendments to this Program should be approved by the decision of the Supervisory Board of the Charity Foundation “Center for Medical Innovations”.
